We looking for a reliable and hardworking Head Chef and Sous Chef to add to our team.
Live in available, couples welcome (subject to other roles being available).
The Inn is situated at the head of remote and unspoiled Wasdale, a fabulous location with England’s highest mountain, deepest lake and smallest Church in this beautiful corner of the Lake District.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: £15 upwards depending on role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and cooking.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance culinary skills.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus and optimize food production processes.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere, encouraging effective communication and teamwork among staff.
Qualifications
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
- Proven leadership skills in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Experience in supervising and managing kitchen staff
- Background in hospitality and restaurant operations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
