This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef ready to step into their first Head Chef role, leading a small, talented team in a growing independent restaurant near Tring. Artisan is known for its modern British menuslocal produce, and relaxed but quality-driven dining.

You’ll have freedom to create your own seasonal menus, shape the kitchen culture, and run the pass with full autonomy — backed by a supportive management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full kitchen management: daily service, prep, rota, stock
  • Seasonal menu development and specials
  • Leading a small brigade with calm authority
  • Maintaining food hygiene, allergen compliance and kitchen standards
  • Managing suppliers, ordering, and gross profit targets

Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef looking for progression
  • Passionate about British seasonal cooking and local ingredients
  • Experienced in fresh food, gastro pubs, or modern British kitchens
  • Calm, professional leader who thrives under pressure
