Join our award-winning team at Glenapp Castle, featured on BBC Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, with a Michelin Key and renowned for our 3 AA Rosette restaurant and Relais & Châteaux affiliation. We are looking for a passionate full-time Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Controlling and directing the food preparation process.
  • Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer.
  • Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels.
  • Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.
  • Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering.
  • Responsibility to assist the Executive Chef in ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of all sections.
  • Ability to produce excellent high-quality food.
  • Good oral communication.
  • Team management skills and team player qualities.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.
  • Positive and approachable manner.
  • Candidates with previous experience in a similar role within a 3 AA Rosette or 5-star establishment are preferred.
